There is one person behind this site

No editorial team, no studio, no company: the games, the code and the text on these pages are all written by me, in the evenings, one piece at a time.

Who I am

My name is Domenico Catalano and I work as an RPA developer in Palermo: for nearly five years I have been designing automations that save companies time and money. It is a job that essentially consists of removing friction from processes that have too much of it — which is probably why TableNight turned out the way it did.

The idea came from a mundane problem. Every time a group wanted to play something, the same scene played out: somebody suggested a game, somebody else had to download an app, a third person's storage was full, and by then the enthusiasm had drained away. I wanted something that opened with an address and worked for everybody, immediately, without asking anything of anyone.

TableNight is what I build outside working hours. It grows slowly and untidily: a game when I have time, a fix when somebody tells me something is broken.

How the games are made

All four games start from classic mechanics — the timed quiz, the timeline, the village with hidden roles, hot potato — that have existed for decades and that everybody has played in some form. What I write is the implementation: the code, the interface, the text, and the way the game handles rooms and phones.

I do not reproduce the rulebooks, artwork, role names or trademarks of any commercial game, and TableNight is neither connected to nor licensed by any publisher. If something looks too close to an existing product to you, tell me through the form below: I would rather change it than argue about it.

How the site pays for itself

The site is free, there are no paid tiers and no purchases inside the games. The domain and the servers still cost something, and that cost is covered by the advertising shown on the site pages — not inside the games, where there are no ads.

I do not sell data to anyone, and there is no user profile to sell: the games have no accounts. What is collected, by whom and for how long is written out in full, without vague formulas, on the privacy page.

Contact

The quickest way to reach me is the form below. Messages come to me only: no public comments, no reviews on display, no moderation. If a game got stuck, tell me what happened and at what point — that is the information I need most.

If you prefer ordinary email, the address is hello@tablenight.app. I answer personally, usually within a few days.

Got a game in mind that would fit here? Pick A game that isn't here yet in the first menu and tell me how it is played: how many people it needs, how long it lasts and why you enjoy it.
